"Kept me going when I wanted to give up"

About: Northern Ireland Ambulance Service / Emergency ambulance response South Eastern Health & Social Care Trust / Hand Therapy and Plastics Team The Ulster Hospital / Occupational Therapy The Ulster Hospital / Paediatric Inpatient Ward The Ulster Hospital / Physiotherapy

(as a service user),

Last year I was in a school bus accident  and I was cut out of the bus. I had to have surgery to my left hand. Everyone who helped me were brilliant, the police, ambulance crew, a&e staff, surgeons, staff from Craig ward and the ot and physio, i can't thank them all  enough for what they did for me. I have been going to the hand clinic every week and I don't think I could have got through this without the help of occupational therapist Janet and physio Peter, they both have worked so hard with me and kept  me going when I wanted to give up, so thank you to everyone.

'Cartman' hi,

Thank you for your super message - it's always great to hear from our patients.

Sometimes, all a therapist needs is a dedicated and determined patient and together we can turn things around.

On behalf of the Hand Therapy Team and the larger care team here at the Ulster, we would like to wish you continued recovery and return to full use of your hand.

Kindest regards & best wishes
