"Newborn struggling to gain weight"

About: The Ulster Hospital / Short Stay Paediatric Assessment Unit (SSPAU)

(as a parent/guardian),

After my newborn son struggled to gain weight effectively he was referred to the rapid response unit at the Ulster. The staff who treated him and managed his ongoing care in the proceeding months were so friendly, reassuring and empathic to our concerns. It is a worrying time when your kids need any kind of medical attention but every staff member we encountered was extremely comforting and gracious with their time, listening to any questions and explaining what was happening and why.

Dear neptuneej65

Thank you for taking the time to share such kind feedback following your visit to SSPAU (rapid response). I'm so pleased to hear that you were reassured treated in a caring and empathetic manor throughout your time with us.

You are right it is so worrying when your baby is unwell, our staff strive to ensure compassion and kindness in their high standards of care, and it is lovely to hear you experience was so positive.

I will ensure the staff hear this lovely feedback.

I hope your little boy is doing well.

Kind Regards,

Hannah
