"Run in with my wheelie bin!!"

About: NHS 24 / NHS 24 (111 service) Stirling Care Village / Minor injuries unit

(as the patient),

I injured my foot when putting out my wheelie bin on a Wednesday night, It was very swollen and painful during the night.

The next morning I contacted NHS 24 and I managed to speak to one of the call handlers. She was very helpful and arranged for me to  have a chat with one of the Nurses. The Nurse after speaking to me about my injury advised I should be assessed at a minor injuries Unit and passed me back to the call handler. The call handler again was very pleasant and arranged for an appointment midday to be seen at Stirling minor injuries unit. Both the staff were very professional- and efficient throughout the conversations I had with them both.

I cannot praise the staff highly enough at the Stirling Minor Injuries Unit,
From the receptionist who I first met, the ANP who assessed me and the Radiographer who took the Xrays were all pleasant, professional and very efficient throughout my journey in the department.
I felt the advice given to me was very helpful and left the department 30 minutes later feeling the team had made me and my wee broken toe happy to get on with getting better.
