"A person-centred care approach"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Urology NHS Scotland

(as a carer),

My husband and I attended his planned outpatient appointment at the Urology Clinic in FVRH.

The person-centred care approach was evident from senior health care support worker Steph, to Mr Ahamad, the consultant who was in charge of his care.

Steph was professional and welcoming, displaying excellent communication and interpersonal skills throughout the appointment.

Mr Ahamad was extremely generous with his time, explaining all the treatment options clearly and guiding us to the right decision for my husband at this time.

The whole appointment, which was bang on time by the way as well, was excellent from beginning to end. Well done team.

Dear RedIrish

Thank you for your very kind review of the experience you and your husband had within the urology outpatient service. This is a fairly new clinic which focuses on men with specific urology symptoms, and has been set up in order that all symptoms are assessed on the day and a definitive plan made by the consultant.

I will ensure that your comments are passed on to Steph and Mr. Ahmad

Thanks again
