"A fantastic practice, with a person-first…"

I’ve used both the online booking system for appointments and called the wonderful reception team, and each time I’ve been able to see or speak to a doctor about my concerns in a timely manner.

The receptionists are kind, considerate and incredibly helpful, and both of the doctors that I’ve spoken to have been absolutely fantastic and have shown genuine care, compassion and empathy. The first doctor I spoke to about a mental health concern had a calming and reassuring presence, allaying anxieties with apparent ease, and ensuring next steps are communicated clearly. I’ve only spoken to this doctor once so far but their kindness, expertise, and their thorough approach has made a lasting impression.

The second doctor I spoke to about a skin concern demonstrated knowledge and expertise, along with a methodological approach, which has filled me with confidence that I’m in safe hands with this practice. They spent time in my face to face appointment today building a clear picture of my medical history in a way that my previous GP surgery hadn’t; there were conditions in my medical history marked as active from my childhood that should have been long removed. This sort of proactive eagerness to get it right first time is something that chronic underfunding and overworking of GPs has made almost impossible, but they took the time to ensure a thorough onboarding into the surgery.

Having moved into the area fairly recently, I have been blown away by the care I’ve received so far from this practice. It feels like a proper family doctors, the sort of place my parents would talk about when I was younger but I’d never had the chance to experience. Everyone I have spoken to has been kind and welcoming and I’m really grateful to be a patient at such a caring place.
