Firstly I'd like to start by saying this name needs reviewed. Intervention almost seems like I'm doing something wrong that needs intervention.
However, hesitant as I was to attend, it had taken my 4th baby loss for me to actually be referred therefore I thought I would try it and I love it. Joanna is absolutely amazing, she is caring and compassionate with such an understanding nature. The only downside is the horrible wee poky cupboard that she has to see you in based with Wishaw General.
However grateful i am that it is not on the maternity floor, it is not a very nice setup. It is tiny and there are no windows, it really does just feel like a cupboard. This service is imperative to people trying to survive and navigate their way through life after a loss, it's terrible that it took 4 losses for me to be referred but I know the service is under pressure.
NHS, cant you actually invest some money in this, I think it's bad enough that when your going through a baby loss your on the same floor as all the people wither pregnant or having babies, please look after us more.
Would be nice to have a dedicated baby loss centre where you have any procedures or tests done and can follow up with counselling and after care. I know it's all money but when you loose a baby and you have to walk into that hospital or that ward, it feels like mental torture.
