"Access to a podiatry service"

About: NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde / Podiatry Services

(as the patient),

As a housebound diabetic I was upset to find that chiropody services are not offered to diabetic patients as a matter of course. I feel this is counterproductive since diabetes sufferers can be prone to foot problems that if not spotted early by a professional could lead to expensive hospital treatment and suffering for the patient.

DearComposerbh55

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

Podiatry does not provide personal footcare, however, If you have any of the signs or symptoms of foot complications, you can contact our Podiatry Services at: 0800 592 087 or 0141 347 8909 (Monday to Friday 8.00am to 8.00pm and Saturday 9.00am to 1.00pm) or you can email: AHP.appointments@ggc.scot.nhs.uk for advice.

You can find more information about personal footcare here:

Kind Regards

Nicole
