About: New Stobhill Hospital / Urology

(as a service user),

Attended recently for a consultation in the Urology clinic and I was very anxious and tearful as I was very concerned I was going to have to live the rest of my life 'as I was' as I'd been told that surgery was not an option for me.

At my recent appointment, I met with Nurse Specialist, Lesley. I have seen her a few times before and she is the only person who hasn't given up in me. She went out of her way to try to find a solution as I've had to cross a few hurdles to get here. I am pleased to say and I now have a quality of life back and can look forward to my holiday with my grandchildren in the summer without concern.

Dear lepusnc59

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience following your recent visit to the Urology clinic at the New Stobhill Hospital.

We understand how distressing and overwhelming it can be to face uncertainty about your health, and we are truly sorry to hear how anxious and tearful you felt at the beginning of your journey. However, we are heartened to know that your most recent consultation with Nurse Specialist Lesley brought you reassurance, support, and ultimately a renewed sense of hope.

Lesley’s dedication and perseverance in exploring options for you, even when things seemed difficult, exemplify the compassionate care we strive to provide across the NHS. It is deeply rewarding to hear that her support has made a significant difference in your quality of life and that you can now look forward to special moments with your grandchildren this summer.

We will ensure your kind words are passed on to Lesley and the wider team. Feedback like yours is incredibly important as it not only helps us to recognise the hard work of our staff, but also reminds us of the real impact our care has on people’s lives.

Wishing you continued good health and a wonderful holiday with your family.

Kind regards

Kevin
