The poor cleanliness and strong odour of urine coming from the male toilet and disabled toilet on the ground floor of the Maternity Hospital is shocking. The female toilets also had no toilet tissue in any of the cubicles on the same day. This really is not good enough when parents are attending the hospital for routine appointments. The stench is overwhelming and unacceptable and not from just one day of not being cleaned properly. I understand there are staff shortages everywhere within the NHS, however cleaning is not something is in a hospital environment that can be missed. It doesn't fill patients and relatives with a lot of confidence when there are no basic supplies or enough staff to keep the hospitals clean and free from infection.
