"Condition not taken seriously"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Ophthalmology

(as a service user),

Finally got an appointment for my eye to be seen after almost a year of battling with intermittent blindness and sectary was informed to give me an appointment in two months but she insisted I go home with a promise of getting an appointment letter sent to my address.

Its been 3 months now and no appointment yet.  Every time I phone the department I'm been told the same wait for a letter.  It's frustrating being that I can't see well and can't be seen by a professional.

Dear Soilqs59,

I am very sorry to hear about your long wait for an appointment in the Ophthalmology Department. I would be grateful if you could Lynne Campbell, Lead Nurse on 07971 859326 to discuss this further.

Kind regards,

Liza Campbell
