Referred to Speech and Language Therapy ( Adult Services) due to finding increasing difficulty with my voice. I have MSA and know this is a problem that is only going to get more difficult.
The team have been amazing especially Abbey who has been very supportive and understanding going above and beyond her remit to help me. She helped me get funding for Speak Unique and has helped me to navigate the program which is very helpful both for now and the future. She also sourced other very helpful aids .
Apart from that she found out about various groups in the area eg A cycling group in Easterhouse which I have joined and really enjoy. This has helped my physical and mental well-being. She also found out about the MSA trust and spoke to the person who runs it before I went which was very helpful.
Abbey has visited me at home and both my wife and I have benefited from her input in coming to terms with and coping with my voice problems now and in the future.
