About: University Hospital Wishaw / Day Surgery University Hospital Wishaw / Gynaecology (Ward 13)

(as the patient),

I recently had a hysterectomy and was well looked after during my time in UHW.

Melissa, who admitted me to the day surgery unit was very professional and quickly made me feel at ease. 

This continued with the excellent care I was given by my consultant Dr O’Connor and anaesthetist Dr Strachan.

Ward 13 nursing team -  Hazel, Isobel and Teresa -  were outstanding. So professional, caring and respectful and keeping a positive atmosphere in the ward.

The ward cleaner was very much part of the team and kept the ward in very good order.

I am so pleased to hear how well you were looked after when you attended for your hysterectomy. I am glad the nursing team gave you professional care while in the ward. I am also so glad to hear that the ward cleaner played her part in the team and kept everything in order.

I look forward to passing on your kind words to all the team, who I am sure will take great pride in hearing your feedback. It is great encouragement for staff to be recognised and it gives them a real boost.
