"I couldn’t ask for a better delivery of service"

About: Causeway Hospital / Accident & Emergency Northern Ireland Ambulance Service / Emergency ambulance response

(as a relative),

From the moment the ambulance crew arrived, Damian and Stephen could not have been more professional and treated my father with respect and dignity at all times and listened to me as dad’s main carer.

Following admission to ED and under the care of a wonderful Dr Stephen who took time to explain what was happening and what the plan was, but I have to give credit to the staff nurse who looked after dad overnight in ED whilst he awaited a bed on the main ward.

His name I believe was Joseph (I think) but he treated my father with such compassion and kindness and explained everything to him before he done anything (my father has late stage Alzheimer’s). Not only did he provide excellent care but he also took time to make sure I was also ok.

Overall I couldn’t ask for a better delivery of service,  despite the ever demanding pressures that continue to erode this very busy department.
