"No question ever felt too small"

About: Continuity of Midwifery Carer Service / Emerald Team

(as a service user),

I gave birth to my third child, a daughter, 3 weeks ago under the care of the CoMC team in craigavon. I wanted to highlight how brilliant this service is.

I feel incredibly lucky to have had Rachel as my midwife throughout both my antenatal and postnatal journey. From our very first appointment, she made me feel listened to, respected, and cared for.

During my pregnancy, she was always patient and reassuring—no question ever felt too small, and she always took the time to explain everything clearly. Her calm and warm presence helped ease any worries I had

After giving birth, Rachel continued to offer exceptional care. Her support with breastfeeding was invaluable—she was encouraging, hands-on when needed, and always just a message or visit away. She truly went above and beyond, making sure both baby and I were doing well, physically and emotionally.

What stood out most was her genuine kindness and the way she made me feel like I wasn’t alone through it all. It never felt rushed—she always made time for me.

I also want to mention Gillian and Amy from team Emerald who did postnatal visits and also provided exceptional, extremely thorough care and were equally compassionate and supportive.

Continuity of Midwifery Care is a fabulous concept and I am so grateful that I was given the opportunity to avail of this wonderful service. Keep up the great work!
