"Excellent renal care at the Royal, Liverpool"

About: The Royal Liverpool University Hospital / Nephrology

(as a relative),

My husband has end stage 5 renal failure and is treated under the Royal at Liverpool. I just want to feed back how very good his care is.

Staff at the hospital treat him with warmth, dignity and respect and the care provided by the community nurse could not be better. My husband also has an aortic aneurism and given his age (70) and combined health problems does not wish that to be operated upon. It was lovely to find staff respected his decision without question.

As an educated man, my husband wants to know the meaning of test results such as bloods in some detail and it is gratifying to find the Consultant supports him in that and is more than happy to go through their meaning so that my husband can manage his own care for as long as he is able to.
