"Provided the best service possible"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Accident & emergency

(as a service user),

Hello, I discovered on Monday that I had a tick bite on my leg after walking my dog through the woods. Long story short, we now know it was the early stages of Lyme disease.

I am currently dealing with other health issues, and these were definitely taken into account. I was seen three hours into an expected four and a half hour wait time, and with the care I received, I would have gladly waited another three knowing I would be well taken care of!

The doctor's name was Dr Shasaan. His attention to detail in my care was exceptional, and it was clear at the time that he was able to alleviate my anxiety and panic about my situation.

I just feel like we live in a world where everyone is quick to complain but slow to praise, so I wanted to give a special mention to Dr Shasaan and all of his A&E staff nurses for providing the best service possible.

Thank you!

Dear suntb83

Thank you for taking the time to share this lovely feedback about your experience in the Emergency Department. I am sorry to hear you suffered a tick bite and required to use the service in the first place, but I am very glad to hear you had such a positive experience despite the outcome.

Feedback such as this is very much appreciated, as staff are constantly striving to provide the best care they can under extremely challenging circumstances. I will ensure this is fed back to Dr Shasaan and the team.

Thank you again and take care

Kirsty
