"Toilet facilities out of order"

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Paediatrics

(as a parent/guardian),

So disappointed today to find the Changing Places toilet in Glasgow children’s hospital is out of order due to an issue with the bed. This appears to be a regular occurrence and because the Changing Places toilet in the adult hospital has been out of action for months due to building works it meant that my daughter had to wait until we got back to school to have her personal care needs met. The bed appears to be stuck in the upright position against the wall.

It’s so frustrating for such a great well used facility with a fault that makes it unusable for most people who need it.

Can you please give an update for when you expect people to be out to fix these issues?

Thanks so much

Dear KikkiDee,

I am sorry to hear that when you attended our Changing Places toilet was out of use and for any distress this caused yourself and your daughter.

I am pleased to let you know the bed in the Changing Places toilet in RHC was repaired yesterday afternoon and is now back in working order.
