"Requiring assessment for mental health issues"

About: Community Services / North Lincs Primary Care Network

(as a service user),

I was asked a series of questions to see if I met requirements to access support?

The questioning seemed to be a tick box process. Unfortunately I did not meet the requirements and was told that they were not able to help me.

I explained that I am having severe life implications due to my mental state and that I really need a diagnosis.

Again I was told that they could not diagnose me. So I asked who could help me as there are multiple mental health conditions that do not fit into their tick box process. I was told that I should speak to my gp. !

Tried to get gp appointment today. Second in queue on the phone at 8am. When I spoke to reception, all appointments had gone !!!!!

2nd in queue and no appointments left. Was told to go to out of hours. No, I need my gp !

Try again tomorrow, only I need to queue outside surgery as they obviously get the appointments first. (This seems like discrimination against the sick or elderly ), that cannot get to surgery at 7.30 am to get into a queue for appointment
