After several days of unsuccessfully attempting to book an appointment by calling at 8 a.m., I was left with no choice but to request an emergency appointment, which I eventually managed to secure. Unfortunately, when I spoke with the doctor, she was abrupt and dismissive, telling me to "calm down" despite my genuine concerns.
I explained that I was experiencing multiple symptoms, which I believed could be connected to a more serious underlying issue. However, I was informed that only one issue could be discussed per appointment and advised to book an additional four appointments. Given my previous difficulty in securing even one, this approach felt entirely impractical.
To make matters worse, I was told my condition could be serious and that I may have suspected mouth cancer requiring urgent referral. Thankfully, the referral came within three days.
Due to this distressing experience, I have since changed surgeries. My new practice has treated me with the respect and care every patient deserves—unlike my experience at Seymour Medical Centre.
