"Long night but couldn't have been looked after any better"

About: Borders General Hospital / Accident & Emergency Borders General Hospital / Paediatrics (Ward 15)

(as a parent/guardian),

I just wanted to write a short note to say thank you to everyone we came into contact with at the Borders General Hospital one recent night.

Admittedly it was a long wait on a busy night in A&E, but the reception staff were lovely and due to the chaotic nature of the waiting room they eventually moved my daughter and I into a quieter room where she could sleep while we waited.

The nurse who took my daughter's first observations was friendly and welcoming and the young porter - a student who I think was working part-time - was so kind and interested in us. He picked us up from A&E and walked us all the way up to the children's ward.

Once we reached the children's ward the nurses were brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble and they really put us at ease. They were incredibly thorough and really looked after us.

It was a long night but we couldn't have been looked after any better, thank you.

Hello

thank you for your lovely feedback. I am glad that you felt that you were looked after well, especially when the areas are so busy. I hope that your child is better now.
