"Kind and thoughtful staff"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / General medicine

(as a relative),

Our late mother was admitted to Okement Ward on New Years Eve at the age of 89. We noticed nurse Beth was most kind and thoughtful about Mum's care and we feel she would should be recognised for this.

It is a busy ward of course but Beth always took the time to speak kindly to Mum and to us and we shall be forever grateful.

Dear Devoncaroline,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience on Okement Ward with us. It is heartening to know that you felt your mum was well looked after by Beth. We are very proud of the way our staff communicate with our patients and their families, and are grateful you have recognised this kindness.

I will ensure your comments are passed onto Beth and the rest of the team for this recognition.

My thoughts are with your family at this time.

Grace

Ward Sister
