"A good experience"

About: Gosport War Memorial Hospital / Ark Royal Ward

(as the patient),

After a short spell in QA Hospital, Portsmouth, for treatment of a severe leg infection (Cellulitis), was discharged to GWMH for rehabilitation.

Spent 8 days in Ark Royal ward where all aspects of care was very good. The nurses were of a high professional standard, caring and cheerful. This in spite of being generally short staffed for most days, with which they coped adequately.

The small physiotherapy and medical rehab team were outstanding, and soon had my mobility sufficiently improved to permit discharge to home after 8 days.

Having assessed my needs at home, suitable aids and home care visits were arranged. A good NHS experience.
