Since moving to the Borders 21 years ago I have had many occasions to visit the BGH as an outpatient and a few longer stays. Always positive.
There are two recent events on which I wish to comment:-
1) Meeting with the team from Rapid Cancer Diagnostics Team
As you can imagine I was quite anxious about this appointment. However, the sheer professional, yet friendly and warm approach of Dr Kerr and Craig soon put me at ease. Good listeners and took time to explain every detail. More GPs and patients should know of them.
2) Endoscopy
In spite of running nearly 2 hours late as a result of technical issues, the team, led by Clare, remained calm, professional, reassuring, warm and caring throughout. Great team!
