My husband was sent for an endoscopy in late January when they took 18 biopsies from his upper and lower esopaghus. This was followed up by another camera test(pushing the camera up through his nose and down that way) this second test created cause for concern by the administering nurse, who was going back to the consultant to follow this up.
These symptoms have caused weight loss, extreme pain and a choking sensation with an inability to eat or drink.
We were told these results would take 12 weeks to collate and to contact after this time if we hadn’t heard anything. We waited the 12 weeks and were then told results weren’t in, try next week. We did this for the next few weeks to be told the test results were all missing.
A complaint was registered with NHS and we should have had a response by later on in May 2025.
No response has been received!
Absolutely shocking lack of care in a situation where intervention is critical.
"Continuity of care"
