"Great care and treatment"

About: Trauma & orthopaedics / Orthopaedic National Treatment Centre Victoria Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as the patient),

As a nurse I was recently in role reversal when I had an accident at home. I had a fall and  sustained an injury to my left ankle and a break to the Fibula in my leg too which required surgery.

I cannot fault the treatment I recieved from Mr Annan and his team at the National Treatment Centre. The theatre and recovery staff took great care of me as I was very nervous even though I'd has surgical procedures in the past.

The team on ward 33 were amazing. From the doctors, nurses, auxileries, physio's and OTs. A huge thanks to my nurses Abbie, Erin, Hannah, Hayley and ANP Debi.

The only criticism I have is,  it's not easy trying to use a pedal bin when you only have one foot working 😂

Thank you all so much for your great care and treatment.

Hi Leigh,

Thanks for your response. It was the ward bathroom pedal bins I couldn't work with just one foot. Maybe food for thought in an Orthopedic ward 😂
