"I was completely bowled over with the care I received"

About: Musgrave Park Hospital / Day Procedure Unit - Withers 5A

(as the patient),

I arrived at the Withers reception for a spinal decompression operation. I was taken to 5th floor and was greeted by Natalie who was friendly and professional and was in no hurry.

While this was happening I had a visit from the doctor, Naeem, who also asked some questions and answered all my questions.

The anaesthetist then arrived and discussed what would happen during the operation and also answered my questions. This gentleman was also in no hurry and was friendly and professional.

Then Sam and his registrar came to see me, again neither was in a rush and explained what the procedure would involve.

By this time it was time for my operation and I was taken to theatre by the staff who were also very friendly and put me at ease and I was not nervous at all.

After the surgery I met with Claire, physiotherapist, who was so kind and very professional. I was taken to the ward and I stayed overnight.

I wish I could name all the nurses that cared for me but I was completely bowled over with the care I received and the professionalism of all the staff.
