"I could not get over the level of support provided"

About: Downe Hospital / Midwifery Unit South Eastern Health & Social Care Trust / Continuity of Midwifery Carer Service

(as a service user),

I was extremely lucky to fall under the Continuity Midwifery Programme ran out of the Downe Hospital. The concept of the service is fantastic and it was Nadine who looked after us, both in the lead up to, and after giving birth.

I could not get over the level of support provided, and from day one I never felt like my appointment was rushed, that there wasn’t time to answer my questions, or that we were working to the clock - something I have never experienced before with an NHS appointment. A big thank you also to Julia, who went above and beyond when she would call out to the house - even our springer spaniel will miss her! This programme seriously needs rolled out to more catchment areas.

Hi Poppy472,

Thankyou so much for taking the time to feedback the excellent care that both Nadine & Julia provided throughout your pregnancy & postnatal journey. I'm delighted to share that we are expanding this team & also rolling out a new team in another location - hoping to launch before the end of the year.

Your feedback is very much appreciated & I do hope that both you & your baby are doing well,

Kindest regards

Emma
