My personal healthcare within the nhs has been, to a large concern woeful.
My initial problem is with my eyes. I have a degenerative condition that is diabetic related. The doctor at Hairmyers hospital has been attentive & helpful! unfortunately my condition has degenerated & my eyesight is deteriorated to a point where it will not heal. While my treatment has relatively recently advanced it has been woefully slow. Had I not pushed further care it would not have been forthcoming. It would be easier for you to investigate without my unbiased opinion to understand my issues.
I have had a broken left foot. This was firstly misdiagnosed as sharko foot by the hospital a&e department following an xray they carried out around 1 year ago. I have had to hobble around for a year with the break, being 'treated' by monklands podiatry dept for Sharko foot. I recently had another xray by the breaks department at Shawlands where I received a letter confirming the break while questioning the fact that the original break was missed??? I received no contact from the hospital regarding the break & eventually managed to contact the hospital myself & managed to book an appointment for the end of May. I still have a broken foot!
I have 2 large kidney stones in my left kidney. These were confirmed by urology at Monklands hospital.
While I appreciate delays are inevitable I am still awaiting surgery to have these removed. I am now told September this year, despite the condition worsening rapidly. One of the stones is 35mm wide, the second not quite so big. I have tried to expedite this, have used the online app & carried out the necessary pre-op testing to finally be told September.
I apologise for the long report & have summarised where possible. Can you please help. I have tried to broach these issues with my local Drs but unfortunately to no avail.
