"They put my mind at rest"

About: Pilgrim Hospital / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

I got a call back from my smear test. I was told they had found some abnormal cells and I needed a colposcopy and a biopsy will be taken to be tested. I was feeling anxious and worried thinking the worse.

The staff were marvellous. The consultant explained what he was going to do and the two nurses Debs and Janet put my mind at rest and reassured me that I’d be alright. They were so kind.
