My eight week old baby was recently sent to A&E where we were quickly triaged and sent to CDU.
The care in the CDU was excellent, the nurses were wonderful and took such good care of my baby and my husband and I. They made sure we had all the essentials for our baby and even saw that we got a cup of tea and a biscuit as it was the early hours of the morning. We spent a short time being cared for by staff nurse Charlotte who was outstanding, she radiated positivity and was excellent at her job and with our daughter - she made us feel calm. She was also very engaged in teaching the student nurse who will no doubt benefit from being with nurses like Charlotte.
We were then transferred to Ward 2C where the excellent care continued. Every nurse that looked after us was wonderful -calm, patient and making our stay as reassuring as possible. I would like to particularly acknowledge the student nurse who looked after us overnight, she was lovely, professional and great with our daughter and was patient and positive even at 5am on a busy ward. I felt confident that our daughter was in the best hands.
(The student nurse was working night shift on 21st May covering 2C room 30 if our gratitude could be passed on!)
"The nurses were wonderful"
