"A long day"

About: Cameron Hospital / Recovery & rehabilitation

(as a service user),

I've been in Balcurvie ward for a few weeks. The staff are very good but it is a long day. An activities coordinator in the afternoons or lunch being served in the sitting room for those able would facilitate companionship.  The tv having a remote for the evenings to hear the news and watch a programme. just a few suggestions to make your stay better.

Dear Littlemiss 2025. Thank you for taking the time to write to the Care Opinion about your stay within Balcurvie Ward. I am happy that you mention the staff being good. We do strive to make the patient's journey safe and person centred. I will discuss with the team regarding activities in the afternoon if at all possible, and to encourage the patient's to attend the sitting room at meal times. There is a large television in the sitting room that is available at any time for all patients'. I think if the staff mention this on admission, the patient's and their loved ones will be aware.

Again, thank you for contacting the Care Opinion and putting your suggestions forward to make the patient's stay more comfortable.
