"Wonderful care for first pregnancy and child birth"

About: Northern Health & Social Care Trust / Continuity of Midwifery Carer Service (The Lotus Team)

(as a service user),

Going through the most terrifying, exciting and unique experience a woman could go through, I felt so cared for and comfortable with the Lotus Team, in particular Caitlin.

I could speak to Caitlin about anything in confidence and she was there anytime I needed. I genuinely felt like I was the only mum to be in the world.

Baby boy was too comfortable, breach all pregnancy. I was talked through all my delivery options multiple times (I was so worried) but not rushed into any decision until I was ready. After deciding to go for a c-section, Caitlin reassured me and booked us in on a date that suited us (39 weeks)

At 37 + 1 baby boy decided he wasn’t waiting any longer and made an appearance via emergency section at the start of September, happy and healthy!

As soon as Caitlin found out he was here, she was straight on the phone making sure not only he was ok, but I was too. Getting home Caitlin checked up on us all the time, calling in, and was there for any of my silly ‘first time mum’ questions. I was sad when the midwife call-outs ended.

I cannot thank her and the Lotus team enough, for making this experience so much more calming and exciting for my partner and I.
