"Commencing Biologics"

I have been waiting to start on biological treatment for my psoriasis for a while now. For the past 7 years, my psoriasis has severely limited every aspect of my life - controlling the clothes I wear, the activities I do, my relationships... With so many other failed therapies, I was excited to get started. And I genuinely couldn't have received better support and compassion from every single member of the Biologics Team within the Ulster Hospital.

Every step of the way I have been full informed, treated with the utmost care and, as a nurse myself, that has been so refreshing! As an aside, thanks to the due diligence of the medical staff - I had unrelated procedures expedited which resulted in another health diagnosis which may have gone undetected for much longer if not for their ingenuity and proactivity. Special mentions to nurses Claire & Helen (absolute angels), Dr Hunter, Dr Alderdice, Laura and all the wonderful HCAs!
