"They reassured me and made me think positively"

About: The Ulster Hospital / Breast and Endocrine Outpatient Clinic The Ulster Hospital / Day Procedure Unit

(as the patient),

Following a recall to Linenhall Street I attended the Breast Clinic in the Ulster Hospital. It was horrible walking into that unit. That soon changed.

I was introduced to Lyndsay who would be my nurse throughout my treatment.  I also met Professor Kirk. Although I was scared, they both reassured me and made me think positively.

I attended the day procedure unit where I had my surgery. Again everything was explained clearly and I was looked after really well.

I then attended the clinic for my results.  I felt really nervous, but Professor Kirk explained his findings clearly and included the follow-up treatments.  It was such a relief.  Lyndsay then went into more details about future appointments.

I would like to say thank you to all involved, especially Mr. Kirk and Lyndsay for the caring manner in which they have looked after me.

Good morning,

Thank you so much for taking the time to post this lovely review of our services. It is nice for the staff to have their care acknowledged in such a positive way and for them to know they help to make difficult times less scary for the patients involved.

I hope you are recovering well from your surgery and I will pass your compliments on to the team within the day procedure unit,

Cathy
