"Yous really are the dream team"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Maternity care

(as a parent/guardian),

Son born 2 months early due to wife having severe Pre-eclampsia.

From the moment she arrived in HDU the care provided from the full team has been exceptional you should all be proud of the job you do, yous are credit to the NHS!

Felicity I want to thank you for your calmness in a frantic situation this gave me and & my wife the reassurance we needed. Dr vikki thanks again for everything from start to finish you’ve been clear with us throughout and we’re both glad that you were there to bring our son into the world! And lastly Katie thanks for being with my wife all through the night these last couple of days your support has been amazing any questions we had you took the time to answer and explain things which put her and myself at ease.

I could go on & on but yous really are the dream team thanks to you I still have my wife and now a beautifully son!

I’ll be forever grateful!

Dear waterfk45,

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about the exceptional care you have received during a very stressful time for you and your wife in QEUH Maternity Unit in Labour ward HDU and congratulations on the birth of your beautiful son.

I will ensure that your thanks and praise are passed on to Felicity and Vikki who were so calm and reassuring and also to Katie who has provided amazing support which has put you both at ease.

Our aim in QEUH Maternity is always to ensure that all women, babies and their families receive kind, supportive and person centred care, especially important during stressful and challenging situations and our team are indeed amazing.
