"Fabulous care"

My uncle's health deteriorated suddenly and he had chosen home as his preferred place of care surrounded by friends and family.  He was attended by the most fabulous team of community nurses who showed him and our family their warmest care and compassion during this difficult time.  Their kindness and care made a difficult time easier and would like them to know how grateful we are and that they really are angels.  

They had built a professional relationship with my uncle over the years which assisted in providing care that was centred not only on his illness and needs but him as an individual.  Person centred care is often lost whilst focussing on medical need however not in our experience.  Nurses Marta and Shannon showed exemplary care and are such an asset not only to Machars team but to the profession of nursing as a whole.  We would as a family like to thank Machars Community Nurses from the bottom of our hearts.  You make such a difference.
