"Staff are absolute angels"

About: Antrim Area Hospital / EOU Emergency Obstetric Unit

(as a service user),

I had to attend the Emergency Obstetrics Unit today with reduced movements and other issues.

From the phonecall for advice to my visit up to the unit I couldn't have received better care. My pregnancy has been hard and full of twists and turns but the Midwives today especially Deirdre and doctor Shaun were amazing.

They talked through everything and really involved me in the discussions around my pregnancy. We are so thankful for all the care, advice and compassion along the way.

We have been other times as well and the staff have always given us so much time in what for me can be an intense time.

Dear Very happy family,

Thankyou for taking the time to complete such wonderful feedback about the care you have received in EOU.

I am delighted to read that whilst your pregnancy has not been straightforward, you have been involved in decisions about your care and treated with compassion and kindness.

Your response will mean a lot to staff. I will ensure that I share this with the teams, particularly those staff named.

Wishing you all the best in the rest of your pregnancy journey

Kind Regards,

Louisa Lapworth

Interim Lead Midwife for Antrim Maternity
