"The care I received was second to none"

About: Integrated Care / Community / Community Neurorehabilitation Service / CNRS Stepping Hill Hospital / Emergency Department Stepping Hill Hospital / Radiology

(as the patient),

I felt a bit strange as in tingling in my hand and head

So went straight to hospital.

On arrival in was seen by the nurse blood pressure was high but wasn’t obvious that it was a stroke as I could smile without my face dropping and could lift both my hands

I had multiple scans and it turned out I had a stroke

With that I was kept I no overnight

I’ve got to say the care I received was second to none and I’m extremely grateful to everyone

I’m hopefully on the mend now so thank you

Good afternoon,

Thank you for taking the time to feedback about the support you received from the services at Stepping Hill Hospital, including the community. I am sorry to see that your experienced a stroke which I can image was a scary time for you. I am pleased to see that the actions from the services involved helped you to reach the diagnosis swiftly and you were able to begin receiving the care you needed.

I will share your feedback with each of the teams so they are aware of the impact their care had for you.

I wish you well with your ongoing recovery.

Kind regards,

Aoife Isherwood

Patient Experience Team
