"Exceptional care while on holiday"

About: Lorn & Islands Hospital / General Medicine

(as a service user),

Whilst on holiday I needed emergency bloods tests done at a hospital far from home - Lorn and Islands hospital in Oban. I attended the MacMillan ward.

The staff I met were friendly, knowledgeable, compassionate and caring. I was very impressed with their care. Special thanks to Sandra, Shona, Karen and Gillian - and the speedy staff in the labs!

Dear bluepoppy

Thank you very much for your lovely post following your emergency attendance at Lorn & Islands Hospital.

I am delighted to hear you have received such good care from Sandra, Shona, Karen, Gillian and laboratory staff.

It is always a pleasure to receive such kind comments and to know that the staff at NHS Highland are appreciated both for their hard work and for their attitude towards patients.

I have forwarded your feedback to the relevant team and asked that managers share this with all the staff involved in your care.

We aim to provide a high standard of care and treatment to the community we serve, and I trust that should you have need of our services in the future your experience will be just as positive.

Thank you for taking the time to feedback your experience.

With kind regards

Sylvia
