I had a breast nodule seen incidentally on a CT scan. I contacted the surgery and was given a same day appointment with the nurse practitioner who was lovely, caring and compassionate. I had a history of previous breast and renal cancer and the nurse referred me to the breast clinic in the 2ww pathway. My appointment came through to my phone in less than an hour. I was seen within six days for scans and a biopsy and had a mastectomy yesterday after the biopsy confirmed a second breast cancer. I am so grateful for the prompt action by the nurse. the phonecall from my GP who gave me lots of practical advice and reassurance and for the GP who contacted me this morning to sort out pain relief. I have been with the practice for over twenty years, as have all my family. I have received exemplary care from day one
