"Her comfort was prioritised"

About: The Ulster Hospital / Transition Ward/Discharge

(as a service user),

My mum was admitted with deranged kidney function and haematology results she also has dementia, her condition quickly deteriorated and it became apparent she was reaching the end of her life.

The staff on Ward 7 transition ward were excellent in every way looking after not only my mum but her family members also. She was able to remain on the ward in a side room and her care was excellent, caring and compassionate.

Her comfort was prioritised and we were assured she would not be moved at this stage and we were welcomed to stay with her and spend time with our lovely mum in a caring, supportive environment.

Thank you so so much x

Thank you for taking your time out to share such kind words.

I understand this is a very difficult time for your family. It is a privilege to have been able to help during such a challenging time. Having their work recognised in such a thoughtful way makes a difference to the team. I am happy to know we are making a difference.
