"Excellent care and reassurance"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Dermatology (Skin Conditions)

(as the patient),

I attended the Dermatology clinic for my treatment and I had to get a blood test and photographs taken. I have a needle phobia and felt really tearful that day due to my condition flaring up and the need for another blood test, I was really really nervous.

Staff Nurse Magda, who took my bloods was very gentle, I didn't even realise when the needle was inserted and removed. She made me laugh during the test and completely took my attention away from it which helped me to get through this!

She then gave me a lot of reassurance and put me at ease. The compassion and care I received was excellent.

Also, medical illustration team have been very friendly. I'm forever thankful for all the care I received so far!

Dear Disappointed patient1693

Thank you very much for leaving feedback following your visit to dermatology at the QEUH. I am very pleased to hear that the compassion and care you received was excellent and that Nurse Magda was able to reassure you and put you at ease.

I will share your comments with the teams who will be delighted to receive such kind feedback.

Regards

Isobel
