"Very friendly, understanding and kind"

About: Queen Victoria Hospital (East Grinstead) / Burns care

(as the patient),

I was referred to EBAC after scalding my hand. Locally I was told that I may have to have interventions and I was allocated an appointment at QVH quickly thanks to the nurses at my local wound centre.

When I arrived at the Emergency Burns Assessment Centre I was greeted very warmly. After a short wait I met Catherine and Immy - two amazing nurses, very friendly, understanding and kind. They assessed my injury, reassured me about it, redressed it and explained, in detail, what do in the coming days. I was very grateful for that advice, in terms of dressings and wound care.

Also, they provided me with some dressings to take home to manage my injury. Catherine and Immy also took time to talk about how an injury can impact on wellbeing and which was very thoughtful.

I am so grateful to both Catherine and Immy for all their support and care whilst I was a patient in EBAC. Thanks again!

Dear Biologyteacher,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. It is always lovely to hear about the positive impact our staff and their care have on your experience.

I have passed on your comments to the individuals and their wider teams and I know they very much appreciate it too.

Good wishes for your recovery.

Kind regards
Chris
