"Help made a huge difference"

About: Clackmannanshire and Stirling Health & Social Care Partnership General practices in Forth Valley

(as a service user),

Last year I was supported by Davida, the Mental Health Practitioner at Allan Park GP Practice, Stirling.

Davida was extremely helpful to me at a point when I needed support. He helped me approach the Council for help getting somewhere else to live, writing 4 letters for me over a year and a half. And I was given a place thanks to his help.

I've never needed to ask for support before, so it was difficult for me. But his help made a huge difference to me and my life. There were times where I was near the edge, and really spiralling.

I was offered CBT but I needed to talk with someone. Davida always talked me down, and always helped. I don't know where I would be right now without the help he gave me.

It was very valuable and I'm grateful to him.

Dear MegPi

Thank you for sharing your experience with us and it is really lovely to hear how well you are doing with the support of Davida.

I know Davida will be delighted to receive your kind words and I will share your story with the GP Practice and ask them to share it with him.

Best Wishes

Caroline

Davida has moved practice to the university of Stirling at airthrie castle. So I hope he is doing well in his new position.
