"It was such a positive experience"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Gynaecology Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Women's outpatient clinics and investigations

(as a service user),

I was referred to Gynaecology by my GP because of some bleeding. My appointment came through quickly as he thought I might have cancer.

I didn’t know what to expect at my appointment and was extremely nervous so I called the number on my letter and a lovely, bubbly girl answered the phone. I believe her name was Chole. She was amazing! Told me what to expect and put me right at ease. There should have been a leaflet with my letter which I unfortunately did not receive. She offered to email this to me and as soon as I was off the phone, it arrived in my inbox.

The nurse and the consultant at my appointment were so lovely and explained everything in detail, they took the time to listen and that was so reassuring.

Overall, it was such a positive experience and the staff were all amazing. Thank you!

Dear Bluebells56

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience at gynaecology. Hospital appointments can be daunting, but I am delighted to note that the consultant and nurse you saw reassured you and that you felt listened to during your appointment.

I will share this feedback with the gynaecology team - they really do a fantastic job every day and it is so heartening to hear when patients have such positive experiences.

Best Wishes

Kirsty MacInnes
