"Play therapy & phobia of needles"

About: Royal Hospital for Children and Young People (Edinburgh) / Play Services

(as the patient),

Within my previous experience of my last blood test when I found out I had to get a new one I got very panicky and anxious but when I got it done it was pain free because numbing cream helped and also lots of help from Megan who gave me lots of influence and encouragement to know I could do it and after I got it done I was fine, but if I ever have to get another blood test numbing cream is the key I didn't even know she did it yet

Dear AvaRR,

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience on this platform. I am glad that Meghan was able to help you with your anxieties around having blood tests carried out and that you are now aware of the numbing cream. I manage Meghan so will make sure she sees these lovely comments and she too will appreciate you taking the time to do so.

Hopefully this will give you the confidence to be less anxious about any future tests you may require but please don't hesitate to contact us if you require further support, I am sure you already have the contact details to reach Meghan but if not, please use the number below.

Kind regards

Margaret McEwan
