"Outstanding care"

About: The Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

My 97 year old Mother was admitted to ward 22 at the RVI on the 6th April 2025. She had a fall which resulted in three fractures. Unfortunately she developed Pneumonia on the 8th. The staff all tried their best with medication and care but on the 14th she died. I want to thank all the staff for their care but especially the Sister who came to my rescue as my Mother took her last breath. Sadly I don’t know her name.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback regarding your mothers care at the RVI. We are sorry for your loss and we would like to thank you for your feedback on the support our staff were able to provide during this difficult time. We will forward your comments to the directorate concerned, who will share with the staff involved.
