On behalf of my husband, I can report that the two hours Dementia Support he received was hugely beneficial to us both.
My husband was very comfortable in the company of Alan, who he had a very good easy rapport with.
This allowed me some time to recharge my batteries and routine with the 24hr care of my husband.
My husband also attends Day Care at the Burns Centre. He has become more comfortable there and I cannot praise the staff highly enough. It is very disappointing to know that the Dementia Support is ending when my husband's condition is worsening.
Removing this service instead of increasing it does not make any sense. He does not have carers and I rely heavily on this kind of support.
