"Always came in with a smile, caring and compassionate"

About: Adult Health Services / District Nursing

(as a relative),

My mum was diagnosed with stomach cancer, her wish was to remain at home until she passed away. The District Nursing Team at Gourock Health Centre went above and beyond to keep her comfortable.

They visited daily, on some days more often if needed and at any hour of the day. It was very comforting to us as a family to know that we had such professional responsive support and this allowed us to care for our mum at home.  They always came in with a smile, caring and compassionate, nothing was a problem. They came so quickly when my mum passed and they were such a great support to our family. We cant praise or thank them enough.

Dear composeref76

Thank you so much for getting in touch with us, please accept my condolences to you and your family on the loss of your Mum.

As the Chief Nurse for Inverclyde HSCP it is lovely to hear that the nursing team were so supportive, caring and compassionate. All of our teams work hard to provide the highest quality of care to our patients and their families and it really means a lot to them when they receive feedback like this. We will ensure that they all see this.

Many thanks again and I wish you and your family all the best at this difficult time

Laura Moore
