I was very anxious and nervous when I arrived for my colonoscopy at the Lincoln Diagnostic centre on Beevor Street. The building, rooms, toilets etc were pleasantly decorated and very clean.
Reception ladies greeted me warmly and gave clear directions to me.
The nurse who looked after me, Mickie, was so kind and helpful and smiley, that I was soon put at ease. She explained the procedure fully and also made clear the side-effects and what to do in the rare instance of anything untowards.
When I met the radiographer (I've forgotten her name!) I felt assured by her professionalism, she was very sweet and calm. She checked my personal details and took me through the procedure. She explained what she was doing throughout and asked after me welfare many times. I actually felt quite relaxed! I was treated with respect and kindness.
Thank you to all the staff.
